Title: So You've Been Publicly Shamed Author: Jon Ronson Genre: non-fiction meander

Pretty interesting, and definitely a topic I haven't put much thought into. The resurgence of public shaming as a result of the internet.
What a time to be alive.
I think Ronson does a good job of exploring the concept from a variety of angles, all woven within the framework of the several case studies Ronson particularly focuses on. Unfortunately...that's kindof it. It's a nice read. Food for thought, you know? Unfortunately, I didn't experience any major revelations, nor did this book produce any kind of paradigm shift. Maybe my reaction would be different if I were a Twitter user - Ronson focuses heavily on the public shaming propagated by those who use Twitter. I never could get into that particular social, and have never participated in a vigilante-esque undressing of someone who says the wrong shit online.
Overall, this book inspired more of a "hmm, that's neat" impression, rather than an "oh fuck I need to change me ways" reaction.
