I just might be. Do I care?

NOPE.

So to finish off the year and to help myself recover from fairly enjoyable but incredible taxing hours of family time over the holidays, I have prescribed myself the whopping 62 books that make up the 90s classic, ANIMORPHS! I read these books pell mell in elementary and junior high schools, snagging the editions I could scrounge up in book the school and public libraries. Even now, as I read through them, some of the books are comfortably familiar in a most-likely-read-them-a-thousand-times kind of way, while other stories are completely new. Some may say that these are kids' books, but let me tell you this has proven to be a VERY fun trip down memory lane, in addition to a kind of self-actualizing exercise - I'm finally going to read all of them, every single book, and in order.

Anyways, enough about me. Let's get to the books!

Creating Order in the MADNESS

That has been my first order (heh heh heh...get it??) of business, and it is proving somewhat frustrating in its lack of symmetry. I'm bunching books as I go, so bear with me if it isn't as cut and dried and, say, the Harry Potter series. Additionally, I am reading the books in order of storyline continuity, because I've always wanted to know the entire story, in order of story events.

Without Further Ado...

...This post is about Part 1, which includes The Andalite Chronicles, and books 1 through 5. In these books, we're just being introduced to the Animorphs and their story. It's still kind of fun - sure, there's the horror of being trapped in a morph if you go over the two hour limit, but, really, that's dulled in our minds by the thrill and novelty of being able to goddamn turn into animals. We also get a peek of Applegate's universe outside of Earth as she unfolds Andalite, human, and Yeerk history.
