This book is too short, in my opinion - just as the reader is getting their bearings within this fantastical world, the pages run out. I want to know more! Magic and secret codes in the stars, androgynous Clerics who seem to collect stories, if not more, and strong women who topple empires...Vo is an excellent storyteller, and conveys such a strong world that as a reader I not only feel safe within all the newness and strangeness of her world, but yearn for everything else she isn't telling me. Give us that sequel!
