Title: Acceptance
Author: Jeff Vandermeer
Genre: Spooky Botanical Sci-Fi

Did you see what I did up there? Did you? Hilarious.
Finishing this book felt like a huge relief from a long-term burden - in the best way possible. It was like the sigh after a cool drink of water on a hot day. Unhooking your bra after a long day at work. Or, what I assume is the male equivalent - freeing the gang from the damp confines of underpants.
Ahhhhh. Satisfaction.
We get some answers. Well, some of some answers. Answers that then spiral into more and more questions. I think if I had known this series would turn out the way it did after reading Annihilation, I would have been pissed - but the series made the whole journey worthwhile. Does that make even a little bit of sense?
This is a terrible review that says nothing at all, but I'm just reeling too much from Vandermeer's plant-y horror dreamscape to put anything in clear terms.
I'm off to haunt the internet for fan theories!
Rating: 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊/5
Would recommend and will FO SHO reread at some point.
(and what do I do now? How do I follow such an incredible experience? This part is the worst, finding a new book after having completely a mind-blowing one...)
